Neglect refers to the failure of one spouse to provide adequate care, support, or attention to the other spouse or the family as a whole.

Examples of Neglect:

  • Lack of financial support
  • Lack of emotional affection or communication
  • Lack of physical affection
  • Physically abusive
  • Alienation of spouse and children

Note: Any of the above may demonstrate a breakdown in the marital relationship and be sufficient grounds for divorce.
