Divisible Divorce

A divisible divorce is one in which certain rights are determined after the dissolution of the marriage

A family court procedure by which a judge may dissolve the marriage and, at a later time, determine the property and support rights of the parties. This procedure is used if one or both spouses want to remarry but have still not resolved their economic or child support issues of the first marriage.
