The Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) manages the state prison system. This department oversees a network of correctional facilities and provides various programs aimed at rehabilitation and reintegration.

The IDOC also manages several community reentry centers and probation and parole offices. The department is headed by a Director, who is appointed by the Governor of Idaho. Idaho Prison News: Third Person Arrested in Idaho Prison Escape Case

A third arrest has been made in the case of a maximum-security inmate who escaped from a hospital and led police on a 36-hour manhunt, resulting in two deaths.
