Amendments to the constitution
The People of the United States reserve the rights set forth in the U.S. Constitution. These rights are better known as our Bill of Rights or the first ten amendments to the Constitution.
These fundamental rights include, but are not limited to, the writ of habeas corpus, no bill of attainder; right against unreasonable search and seizure; right against double jeopardy; right against self-incrimination; right to due process; right to fair bail, and the right to a speedy and public jury composed of defendant’s community.
