Assisting another in committing a criminal act

The intentional act of helping or encouraging someone to commit a crime. Depending on the jurisdiction, an act of aiding and abetting can come before, during, or after the crime is committed.

Under the category of Vicarious Criminal Liability, an aider, and abettor is criminally liable to the same extent as the principal defendant.
