Collaborative Divorce

« Back to Glossary Index

Collaborative divorce is a process designed to resolve divorce disputes amicably and cooperatively, allowing couples to work together to reach a mutually acceptable agreement.

Collaborative divorce uses a team approach. Each spouse hires their own attorney, and both parties may also engage other professionals, such as financial advisors, divorce coaches, or child specialists, to facilitate the process.

The primary focus is on negotiation rather than litigation. The goal is to reach a fair settlement that meets the needs of both parties.
