You must file your civil complaint within the strict and legally prescribed time limit or risk being forever barred from bringing your claim in the future

The law has strict time limits on the right to file a complaint. Failure to file the lawsuit before the statutory deadline will result in losing your rights and the dismissal of your case forever.

For example, many states limit the time to file a lawsuit for personal injuries to one year from the date of the accident.
