Pregnancy discrimination in the workplace is illegal

Congress has enacted the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, which prohibits maternity discrimination in the workplace. Including but not limited to hiring, firing, and pay discrimination.

The EEOC is the federal enforcement agency that investigates such matters.
