Megan’s law mandates law enforcement to make sex offender information available to the public

The sex offender’s information includes their full name and current address and the specific sex crime the offender was convicted of and when. The Megan public sex offender registration requirement is either for a fixed period of time—usually at least ten years—or permanently.

Criminal Sentencing
