Evidence obtained in a legal search that was the result of a prior illegal search will also be deemed tainted and inadmissible

A criminal search and seizure exclusionary rule that states if the source of the evidence seized (the tree) is the result of an illegal search, then any subsequent evidence, even if lawfully obtained (the fruit) will also be deemed tainted because it came from a prior unlawful search.
