Eviction defense lawyers represent tenants threatened or who are actively being evicted from their premises by the landlord

There are very few landlord-tenant lawyers who practice eviction defense without there being a significant upside to the tenant’s case; alternatively, the client can afford to pay the lawyer fees on an hourly basis.

A Significant Upside To Tenant’s Case

A case that has a significant upside must have sufficient evidence to file a counter-claim against the property owner for violating the tenant’s legal rights such as:

  • Locking Out the Tenant
  • Retaliatory Eviction
  • Privacy Violations
  • Building Code Violations
  • Unlawful Discrimination
  • Depriving Tenant of Quiet Enjoyment
  • Landlord Engages in Self-Help
