Disorderly Conduct – Disturbing The Peace

Most states consider this the same as disturbing the peace. Most of the time, the crime is charged as a misdemeanor and, in some jurisdictions, a mere infraction.

Changed Meaning Today

A violent act or an act is likely to lead to violence. Today a breach of the peace does not have to lead to the incitement of violence. It is not uncommon to see the breach of the peace allegations equate to the act of disorderly conduct or Disturbing The Peace.
